Keith Pollard of Columbus entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Keith G. Pollard was born December 25, 1934 in Ashland, NE to Gail and Neva (Laird) Pollard. He attended schools in Ashland where he graduated in 1952. Keith attended Hastings College before moving to UNL where graduated with a Degree in Education. Keith was united in marriage to Ethel Bower in Ashland in 1954. Keith taught and coached in several small towns in Nebraska before serving as a Principal in Ashland, Osceola, IA, and Papillion. He was the Superintendent in Arapahoe before coming to Columbus where he was the administrator of the Educational Service Unit #7 from which he retired in 1997. Ethel passed away in 1994, and in 1996, Keith was united in marriage to Kathy Harsh of Columbus. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, snow skiing, golfing, Husker Football, and attending his grandchildrens many events. Keiths love for dogs was unparalleled. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Keith will always be remembered and admired for being an outstanding administrator and leader because of his compassion, caring, fairness, and sense of humor.
