Lillian Ann Vanek, 93 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Saunders Care Center in Wahoo. She was born June 3, 1922 in Wahoo, NE to Martin and Rose (Dolezal) Wotipka. On April 29, 1946, Lillian was married to Anton Vanek at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo.
Lillian was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society, and the Prague American Legion Auxiliary #254. Some of her hobbies include playing cards, gardening, crocheting, reading, and word puzzles. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and caring for her flowers. Lillian was a good farm wife that enjoyed helping on the farm.
She is survived by children: Marjorie (Ron) Slegl of Lenexa, KS and Anton Jr. (Marilynn) Vanek of Gretna, NE; grandchildren: Brenda (Jim) Monaco, Rebecca (Dylan) Murray, Cindy Vanek, Mark Vanek, and Brian Vanek; great-grandchildren: Jake Monaco, Lindsay Monaco, Andrew Murray, and Landon Murray.
She was preceded in death by husband Anton Vanek; parents Martin and Rose Wotipka; brother Martin Wotipka Jr.; sisters: Sylvia Simanek and Marjorie Vanek.
So sorry to hear of your loss. She was a special lady!
