Linda Lou (Sandberg) Mueller 75, was born on February 28, 1941 and passed away on August 1, 2016 after a courageous battle with liver disease.
She attended Wann and Ashland schools and graduated in 1958. Upon graduation Linda worked at Guarantee Mutual Life Insurance fostering lifelong friends. During this time Linda was active in her church as a Sunday school teacher and piano player. Linda was a rainbow girl in high school and later joined Eastern Star in Ashland. In her 56 years of service with the Eastern Star she held numerous offices including Worthy Matron for 7 years. Linda married Elmer George Mueller on October 7, 1961 in Ashland, NE and through this marriage had two daughters, Pamela and Karla, where she remained a homemaker and worked at the local café until taking a fulltime position in 1978 with State Farm and giving 30 years of dedicated service. After retirement Linda stayed on the farm in Elmwood, NE until moving to Springfield, NE in 2010. Linda enjoyed following her grandchildren’s accomplishments, music, the outdoors, fellowship with friends, but most of all time with family.
Survived by daughters, Pamela (Bubba) Davis of Amarillo, TX, Karla (Nick) Stolzer of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren, Brad Davis of Nashville, TN, Brooke and Brhett Davis of Amarillo, TX, Adam Stolzer of Burwell, NE, Nicki Stolzer of Omaha, NE; brother, Oscar and (Judy) Sandberg; special friend, Carl Dahl of Springfield, NE; along with many beloved relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Elmer “Sam” Mueller; parents Wayne and Ottilie Sandberg.
Special thanks Dr. Hewlett and G.I. Fellows at UNMC and Clarkson.

Because of Linda I have a best friend, Pam. Treasured memories to last a lifetime. How to enjoy music, letting me play the piano, eating liver and onions, slumber parties….grandmas house just down the road…..treasured in my ❤.May God Bless you Pam & Karla in your time of need.
So sorry to hear about Linda’s passing. Enjoyed working with her at State Farm for 6 years before she retired. Such a warm heart. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Pam & Karla, I am so sorry to read of your mom’s passing. She and your dad were vital parts that helped Elmwood be a great place to grow up. I always enjoyed keeping up on the Elmwood news when running into your mom at State Farm. You all have my sympathy and prayers.
Linda was such a special neighbor to us in Springfield and we are heartbroken to hear of her passing. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thinking of you all.
