In Care of the Family

Margaret C. Ivey, 77, of Weston, NE, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Saunders Care Center in Wahoo, NE.  She was born February 2, 1940 in Omaha, NE to Michael J. and Martha (Elving) O’Neill.  Margaret attended Holy Family Catholic School in Omaha.  On September 23, 1961, she was married to Lloyd D. Ivey at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha.

Though the years, Margaret and her family lived in Omaha, NE, California, Yutan, NE, and Wahoo, NE.  She spent 12 years working for Platte Valley Foods in Wahoo.  Margaret was a kind person and a good mother.  She loved camping, fishing, her family and she was a great cook.

She is survived by children: Rose Covington and fiancé, Don Aken Jr., Michele Ivey, John Ivey and Paul (Tammy) Ivey Sr.; grandchildren: Misty, Justin (Heather), Micah, Mary, Crystal, Tera (Garrick) and Paul Jr.; great-grandchildren: James, Railey, Eli, Luke, Ulrick, Cedrick, Anthony, Andrew and Alexander; sisters: Maureen Dreher, Kathleen Strelko and Mary Bersane; brothers: Ed (Doris) O’Neill and Dennis O’Neill.

She was preceded in death by husband, Lloyd Ivey; parents, Michael and Martha O’Neill; brother, Jack O’Neill; great-grandchild, Jesse Covington.
