Marilyn A. Robertson was born October 1, 1936 in Boelus, NE to Fred and Anna (Sternburg) Seeber. She attended school and graduated from Boelus High School. She was wed to Irvin Friedrichsen in 1953 and five children were born: Michael, Cindy, Kim, Susan and Danny. They lived in California for a short time and moved to the Grand Island area. She married Edgar Judy in 1975 and lived in Grand Island, Lincoln and Ashland. Edgar passed away in 1993. She was married to Herbert Robertson in 1995 and they moved to an acreage near Douglas, NE. Even though he died 1 1/2 years later, she remained on the acreage that she loved until her health failed in recent years and moved into Lincoln.Marilyn was one of the pioneers for women truck drivers, driving trucks for several years in the 1970’s. She also worked many years for the City of Ashland. Marilyn loved crocheting, gardening, cooking and reading. She also liked to identify birds that she enjoyed on her acreage.
She is survived by daughters: Kim (Jerry) Smith, Susan Manning, all Lincoln, Melody Stobbe, Omaha; son Danny Friedrichsen, Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Cindy Friedrichsen of Boelus; 7 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by son Michael Friedrichsen; daughter Cindy Friedrichsen; husbands, Irvin Friedrichsen, Edgar Judy and Herbert Robertson; brothers and sisters.
