MaryAnn Brown, 78 of Ashland, NE formerly of Lincoln, NE entered into rest on Monday, January 1, 2024 at the Monarch in Lincoln, NE.  She was born April 6, 1945 in Tecumseh, NE to Allen and Leona (Ebeler) Ramsey.  She graduated from Northeast High School in Lincoln.  On September 29, 1962, she was united in marriage to Jerry D. Brown at Bethany Christian Church in Lincoln, NE.  Mary Ann worked many years as a bookkeeper first for Coca-Cola, then Bouwens Plumbing and finally the City of Ashland.

MaryAnn was a member of the Nebraska State Snowmobiling Association and the Drifters Boat Club in Lincoln. She enjoyed happy hours, gambling, traveling, camping, boating, waterskiing, snowmobiling, and riding motorcycles.  After retirement, MaryAnn and Jerry would spend the winter months in Texas and then in later years in Arizona.

MaryAnn is survived by her son, Dwayne (Carol Scheinost) Brown; granddaughter, Samantha (Chad Hile) Cochran; great-grandchildren, Kemper & Kyler Hile; brother, Wilbur (Bev) Ramsey; stepmother, Mary; stepsister, Joyce; brother-in-law, Richard (Dee VanNordstrand) Brown; sister-in-law, Deb Earl; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Leona Ramsey; husband, Jerry Brown and brothers-in-law, Jim Brown & Dave Earl.
