Mary J. Olson, 94, of Gretna, NE, entered into rest on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Lifecare Center of Elkhorn in Elkhorn, NE.  She was born April 14, 1929 in Pueblo, CO to LeRoy Otis and Helen (Kirby) Mohler.  On September 23, 1972, Mary was married to Fred Olson in Blair, NE.  Mary and her husband Fred owned and operated Fred Olson and Son Trucking for many years in the Gretna area.

In her early years, Mary enjoyed riding motorcycles and racing stock cars.  She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, rescuing animals, working outside and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by children, Fred O. Olson of Gretna, NE and Jennifer (Henry) Ross of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Brittany Olson, Jacob Olson, Olivia Olson, Jaelyn Olson, Samantha Wimberly and Forrest Cook; great-grandchildren, Cruz Lee Benson and Finn Wimberly; many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred H. Olson.
