To all of the Nissen family; I was saddened to see that Mike had died and extend my sympathy to you all. Our families go back a long way to the days of our youth with our parents; Marge & Dale and Tom & Mabel. Memories of fun times spent as a kid up at the big Nissen house on I think 38th? St. Know that I am thinking of you all at this time.

My dear brother Mike, I am heartbroken you are no longer with us but I know you are truly out of pain and feeling good. You have so many family and friends to catch up with in Heaven and some old Yankee players to rib. You were one of a kind and I appreciate all the times I did get to spend with you. You may not have known this but I was always wanting to go everywhere with you and be with you. I remember you teaching me who could hit the softest, you always let me win! I finally figured that game out! Your yellow Pacer was the funniest car I had ever seen and it definitely needed to be midasized! I never really knew where my affinity for the old VWs came from but now I know why mom let me buy that orange one…all three of you boys had one so she knew what to expect. I love that we shared those pics on FB of the really cool ones. Your sense of humor had no bounds and I hope your dog, Mary Hartman is by your side with Misha too! I never thought this day would come as I am naive in thinking we are all getting older, but losing you has really made me think and realize how truly important our families are and that the memories made will be what carries us through. Hug your nephew Joe for me, snicker along with Dad and have a smoke with Mom and hug all your friends tight. God only picks the best flowers for His table and I guess you were what He needed to make it look perfect. Forever and always in my heart, your little sister, Liz
