Michael J. Kulhanek, 52 of Lincoln, passed away July 11, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lincoln.  Mike was born November 29, 1960 in Lincoln to Emil and Betty (Sims) Kulhanek.  He graduated from Ashland High School in 1979. Mike always enjoyed the outdoors, whether he was hunting for mushrooms, fishing with friends, or shooting fireworks.  Watching NASCAR and Husker football were some of Mike’s favorite hobbies.  He was friendly to everyone and he loved to have fun with family and friends.  Most of all, Mike loved his family.

Mike is survived by son, Andrew Kulhanek of Lincoln; mother, Betty Kulhanek of Ashland; sister, Brenda Knollenberg of Hickman, Shari Clark of Ashland, Vicky (Marvin) Tibbens of Ashland; brother, Tom (Cathy) Fick of Palmyra, NE; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Emil Kulhanek.
