Michael S. Ficke, 63 of Wahoo, NE passed away, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.  He was born September 6, 1956 in Lincoln, NE.  His parents were Lester and Mildred (Luckey) Ficke.  Michael grew up in Pleasant Dale, NE and graduated from Milford High School before moving to Lincoln for several years and then moving to Wahoo.  He worked in construction most of his life.

He enjoyed fishing, taking care of the lawn, playing KENO and visiting with friends and neighbors.

Mike is survived by his special friend, Dennise Baade of Wahoo; nephew Allen Kliewer of Crete; uncle, Wayne (JoAnn) Ficke of Lincoln and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene Ficke and niece, Myra Ficke.

    I am shocked to hear of Mike’s passing. I’ve not been in touch with him since his brother Gene’s passing. Mike and Gene are my cousins. Their father and my Dad are brothers.

    Mike was biggest Sammy Hagar fan I’ve ever met lol. loved his dog dusty so much ,he was quiet kinda guy ,had some good times with him. Didn’t hear about his passing until today, R.I.P.

    The way i found out about this was truly a sign from God. This truly broke my heart to hear of Mikes passing.
    Mike will always hold very special memories in my heart. May he rest in peace.
