Myrle and her husband Ernie were our good neighbors for several years when we lived in town in the little house next door. We extend our sympathy to all her family.

Myrtle was a wonderful neighbor in Ithaca. She kept an eye out on our home if we were gone. Played with our little dogs and grandkids. Could scrabble her TV by pushing all the buttons. Dan would get a call if she needed help since we were across the street. Made great banana bread and always great hugs. We have missed her when she moved.

Childhood memories the kids in Ithaca would watch for her when sliding down the hill in the winter. She would be in the window watching us and waving at us. Always a kind heart and loved everyone.

Merle was like another grandma to me & a great grandma to my kids. I remember her & Ernie both from growing up in Ithaca. I’ve sat at many sporting events with her watching her own grandkids & she even made a few trips with my family down to Lincoln to watch a few of my kids events. We worked a few years at the Methodist pie stand at the Lancaster county fair, went to parades together, shopping & dinners. She came out to the farm many times to celebrate the 4th of July with my family. There are many too many memories to list. She will be greatly missed. Prayers to her family.
