In care of the family for future designation

Nolan T. Beckenhauer 16, of Ceresco, NE, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.  He was born October 25, 2000 in Omaha, Ne to Paul and Kimberly (Buettner) Beckenhauer.

Nolan was a junior at Ashland-Greenwood High School, where his passion was playing golf.  He loved the outdoors and he loved animals.  His current four-legged friend is a bearded dragon named Thistle.  He worked his first job this summer at Mahoney State Park, where he was very dedicated and took much pride in his work.

Anyone who knew Nolan, loved him.  He had no enemies.  He was a little guy with a big heart and a gentle soul, but was also a little goofy and quite the jokester.

Nolan was most happy being at his country home with his family.  Things he enjoyed at home were being in the hot tub, swimming in the pool, bouncing on the trampoline, cruising on his hoverboard and riding on the four-wheelers with his brothers.  Nolan also enjoyed hanging out with his friends and most recently took up Frisbee golf.

Nolan is survived by his parents, Paul and Kim Beckenhauer; brothers, Jacob and Aidan Beckenhauer; grandparents, Mark and Becky Buettner; great-grandmother, Ruth Beckenhauer; uncle and family, Chad (fiancé Jenna Pendley) Buettner, Halie, Conner, Coby, Aliyah, Maia: aunt, Erin (Will) Watts; aunt, Sarah Jones; aunt, Renata Beckenhauer; uncle and family, Rob (Liz) Meyer, Bella, Alee; uncle, Rich Meyer; uncle and family, Jim (Michelle) Meyer, Kaitlyn, Will; aunt and family, Carol (Jed) Hartweg, Grace, Garret, Gavin.  Nolan is also survived by many great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patricia Meyer and Paul Beckenhauer, II.

Every since last Sunday I have been trying to find the right words to say, but as a parent who’s worst nightmare is losing a child I cry every time I think about what I would say to you. I am sooo deeply sorry and still in disbelief that this could happen to your family, I am keeping you tight in my prayers as I have no idea how you get through something like this without the support of your friends and family and I need you to know that I AM HERE 100% if you need anything! 💔 Love you all!!
