Norma A. Murren, 85 of Colon, NE, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont, NE.  Norma was born May 4, 1928 in Rescue, NE to Raymond and Rose (Kasper) Pacl.  She graduated from Prague High School in 1946 and soon after she was united in marriage to Andrew Murren.  They were married on February 11, 1947 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague, NE. 

Norma was a homemaker, wife, and mother that always had time for her family.  She filled up her family with her great cooking and her fun personality.  She enjoyed collecting tea pots, attending auctions, playing cards, and visiting with friends. Norma was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Colon, St. Ann’s Sodality, American Legion #265 Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America, FCSLA, and the Eight and Forty Auxiliary.  She was a woman of great faith; and, she was a wonderful mother that will always be loved by her children.

Norma is survived by her husband of 66 years, Andrew Murren; children, Tom (Julie) Murren, John (Jodi) Murren, Mike (Vicki) Murren, Mary Murren, Patty (Kevin) Matson; grandchildren, Andrew (Kelan) Murren, Brooke Murren, Megan Murren, Amanda (Jerid) Cooper, Chris Murren, Matthew Murren, Taylor Murren, Mattie Murren, Sadie Murren, Matthew Brandes, Tara (Michael) Bowman, John (Allie) Matson, and Scott Matson; great-grandchildren, Grant Cooper, Brady Cooper, and Emma Bowman; sisters, Vi Nanfito and Donna (Dwain) Ohnoutka; special cousins, Blanche Bartek and Bernice Noonan; many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Rose Pacl; brother-in-law, Joe Nanfito. 

Rev. Matthew Vandewalle will be officiating.

Pallbearers are Andrew Murren, Chris Murren, Matthew Murren, Taylor Murren, Matthew Brandes, John Matson, and Scott Matson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jim McDermott, Joe Nanfito, Roxanne Nolan, Sue Friedman, Mitch Ohnoutka, and Lori Abel.
