Patricia Jo Cejka, 75, of Weston, NE, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 25, 2021 in rural Weston, NE.  She was born April 11, 1946 in Weston, NE to Kenneth and Irene (Krcmarik) Nordahl.  Patty graduated from Wahoo High School.

Patty always enjoyed helping friends, family or even someone she just met.  She cared for her mother unselfishly and she loved caring for kids at her day care (most of whom called her grandma).  Patty enjoyed baking for all her farming friends and running errands or odd jobs for the people in the condo.  She loved polka dancing, garage sales, working outside or giving a ride to whomever needed a ride.  She loved spending time in her “She Shed” and she even loved cutting trees with her chain saw.

She is survived by her mother, Irene Nordahl; sister, Lynda (Brian) Pemberton; nephew, Cory (Kim) Pemberton; niece, Deanna (John) Pemberton-Sanders, and great nieces & nephews, other family members and friends; guardian angels, Ron and Lanie Brazda.

She was preceded in death by her children, Larry Dean Cejka and Becky Sue Cejka; father, Kenneth Nordahl.

Condolences for Patricia J. Cejka

Patty entered my life through my parents. She was full of life. She was there for my mom as she went through cancer. She was there for my dad after my mom passed from cancer. We became friends, how could we not. She was amazing. After learning about the tragedies she endured with her children she became even more amazing if that was even possible. If I could talk to her one last time I would thank her for everything she has done for me and my family. I love you.

I met Patty when I moved in to the Condo in Wahoo. She was the most caring person I have met. She was always there for anyone here in the building. She would come over and have coffee with me in the mornings while I worked from home. I loved visiting with her. She was a bright light in everyone’s life here. Always making everyone smile. I will miss her.
    We loved her.

My heart is breaking. I just found out about Patty’s passing yesterday. I’ve known Patty just about my whole life. She was always a ray of sunshine. She could always bring a smile to my face. And oh how she loved her kids. Patty and Sissy (Becky was my daughter’s babysitter from the time she was about 9 months old until LeeAnna (Lee Lee as Grandma Patty and Sissy called her). was was about 6 or so. Lee was just as much as home at Patty’s farm as she was her own. I never had to worry if Lee was with Patty and Sissy she was loved and well taken care of. Talk about a firecracker Patty was. Oh where she got her energy I never knew. Bless her heart. Lee and I Love Patty and Sissy. We’ll never forget them. Oh how happy Patty must be with Deanie and Sissy. The Angels have to be singing a brighter note welcoming this lovely lady into heaven. We love you Patty.

We have all lost a special friend Met her at the old Starlite Ballroom. She would come in dancing down the isle and smiling When she was no longer helping behind the bar she got up every time to help Ron and helpers She was a blast in our booth Her giving was endless whether it be clothes someone needed or some other item she would be at a garage sale or discount place in Wahoo She worked so hard taking care of her Mother and her place out on her acreage While at Moms she was taking care of the other people there fixing things and getting what they needed Rest in Peace Patti your work here on earth is done and well done it was. Many thanks to Ron and Lanie for their special care of Patti in her last days love you girlfriend Leona Prokop!!!!

My dear sweet cousin Patty. There won’t be a day that goes by that I won’t miss our texting and bantering. We always seemed to brighten each others days. I will miss you terribly. Rest in peace, and I will see you when I get to the other side. I love you to the moon and back.

I lost my best friend. But gained a guardian angle. I’m going to miss our quirky behaviors. Sipping wine coolers by the pool, our talks while heading to the fields, teasing each other, laughing hysterically over gma’s wittiness at age 98! Who’s gonna garage sale shop for me & be there for me? Your a HUGE loss to me. You were the ONLY friend I could always trust & be true. Just Remember what I whispered to you in your last minutes. 😥💔 Love & miss you dear friend.
