Laura and family….to me this is unbelievable….How fast that everything went…You folks were our neighbors in Greenwood when you were first married and just starting a family…and was so impressed that Rich had only met us one time and he forever called us by name….and always so friendly and ready to visit every time we ran into him….God be with you guys as you go through this devastating time…I will definitely smile when I think of him and one day you all will….just remember when someone you love becomes a memory that memory becomes a treasure and that is why God gives us memories….Love leaves a memory nobody can steal….
I just learned of Rich’s passing and am so surprised as I had no idea he was in ill health. Rich and I worked together for several years at the State of Nebraska and thereafter we kept in touch through email mostly. Whenever there was a local car event, we would usually seek each other out and catch up on things & swap stories….I will surely miss that. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Laura – I was so shocked and saddened seeing the passing of Rich – I was in Greenwood the other night and we were just talking about you guys and how much fun we always had at Trackside. He was taken much too early. My thoughts are with you and kids at this time.

I am proud to have known Rich pretty well for a number of years. A great guy always had fun with him – I don’t think he knew how to not enjoy life. Laura was always by his side and you could easily tell how much he cared for her. He loved to go on the NRCA Tour Nebraska event, and was even entered this year – but his health did not allow. Rich sent me a lot o emails on car events – some just a few days before his death. I will miss my friend and wish Laura and family the strength to get through these difficult times.
