Scott Lee Osterloh, 52, of Farnhamville, IA, entered into rest on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in Fort Dodge, IA.  He was born September 22, 1969 in Wahoo, NE to Donald and Karol (Stoakes) Osterloh.  Scott graduated from Mead High School in 1987.  He attended DeVry University and Kansas City Kansas Community College.  On April 27, 2002, he was married to Ruby Miera in Sioux City, IA.

Scott was a singer, writer and recording engineer who was the owner of My Sound Mine Studio.  He was also a vocalist in various bands.

He is survived by wife of 19 years, Ruby Osterloh; children, Matthew (Anna) Benedict, Justin (Chelsea) Gregerson, Haley (Chad) Srofe and Ivy Osterloh; grandchildren, Quinn Benedict, Wyatt Gregerson and Luna Srofe; mother, Karol Osterloh; brother, Brad Osterloh; sisters, Connie (Dennis) Wellman; Shelley (Richard) Anderson; many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by father, Donald Osterloh; sister, Pamela Grove.

    For loving my daughter. I always remember when I first met you and the time you asked my permission to marry ruby
    Thank you for caring for the 3 “monkeys, they sure love you and I know they will miss you.

    Scott was a great friend and just a great person in general, he was always willing to help someone, he was a great musician and a wonderful Husband to his wife ruby,and his daughter ivy, as well as kind to everyone he met, Scott we will miss you brother, your friend Richard kober.

    I was so stunned to hear that I had lost a classmate & friend. I loved Scott & was so proud of him. He was always so sweet to me. I will miss him. My heart goes out to his family.

    Scott was a mentor to me when I was in junior and senior high. I looked up to him for his kindness and talents. He played Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar and he really was a superstar. My heart aches for this loss.

    I’m so heartbroken, Scott you comforted me when my mother Sandy passed in 2016. That’s the last time I seen you. I never got to thank you for being there for me, THANK YOU MY BROTHER.May you journey well Scott, keep watch over Ruby and all your children and grandchildren.     Thank you Scott for words of encouragement when I needed them most. Please know how a good person u are, caring, Compassionate, I still think about that time u played me a song on guitar while singing, I was blown Away. I am sorry brother I wasn’t there for u like u were for me. But I’m living a good healthy life and I love u. Like I said with out them Words of encouragement who knows where I would be.
