Shirley Anne Rishel, 89 of Lincoln, NE, formerly of Ashland, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Homestead Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln. She was born August 29, 1926 in Greenwood, NE to Earl and Gladys (Deck) Livingston. Shirley graduated from Ashland High School in 1944. She worked at the Ashland Care Center for over 20 years.

Shirley was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was active in the United Methodist Women, taught Sunday school, and a past Girl Scout Leader. Shirley enjoyed cooking, sewing, and crocheting. She loved spending time outdoors tending to her flowers and garden. Most of all she loved the time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by daughter Deborah (Steven) Johnson of Lincoln; son Steven (Tracy) Morris of Colorado; grandchildren: Jodi Gray, Christy (Carl) vonRentzell, Chance Otto, Amy Blowers, Shane (Cyndi) Morris, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother Ron (Betty) Livingston of California; sister Beverly (Jerry) McEntaffer of Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by parents Earl and Gladys Livingston; sisters: Nadine Schomer and Carol Leach; great-grandchild Heather Mattern.
