Theresa “Teri” L. Pierce, 77 of Aurora, NE formerly of Ashland, NE passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 in Aurora.  She was born August 21, 1946 in Ashland to David and Audrey (Gilbert) Pike.  She attended Ashland-Greenwood High School and Southeast Community College.  She worked a variety of jobs in Ashland.  She had an in-home day care, she worked at Jack & Jill, No Frills and the Ashland Care Center as a CNA and the activities director.  She was united in marriage to David Pierce on July 2, 1983 at the First Christian Church in Ashland.

Teri was a member of the First Christian Church, Jr. Women’s Club, former Girl Scout Leader and a former member of the Ashland Volunteer Rescue Squad.

She was an animal lover who enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, and collecting dolls.  She especially loved cooking and teaching her grandchildren her secret recipes, some of her specialties were dinner rolls and fried chicken.

Teri is survived by her husband, David Pierce; daughter, Brenda Gautier and husband Kevin; son, Daryl Wills and wife Julie Lade-Wills; grandchildren, Lauck Gautier, Jessica Gautier, Cleo Wills; great-grandchildren, Noah Buchanan, Lucas, Bryce, Grace, Zoe, Willow, and Ava Gautier; sister, Judy (Terry) Flamig; numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David & Audrey Pike; brothers, Jerry & Dick Pike; sisters, Mardel Reed, Bonnie Coffin.
