Please accept our condolences at the passing of Gilbert.
I played with him in the Solid 8 Orchestra for many years. He was always a friendly, upstanding fellow musician. I especially enjoyed when we played the Clarinet Polka. He always did an outstanding job. As far as I know, he never missed a dance job. Not too many years ago I got a phone call from him and his friend and ex-student of mine Kenny Novak. They called to find out if I was still alive. Jim, do you remember being a student of mine at Mead Public School? That was a long time ago.
Now there is only one original member left of the Solid 8.
I will always kindly remember Gil.

My condolences to the Ludacka Family. I remember Uncle Gilbert playing in the orchestra Solid 8 in Howells. What great fun we had at those ballroom dances! I can still hear him, my Mother and Grandmother laughing, dancing, and singing. I also remember him being a hard worker. He helped my mother with many tasks while my father served in Vietnam. We helped him demolish a house …ha ha! and I think he used to deliver us milk. I wish I could have seen him more.
