Stella Theresa (Benes) Fiedler, 88, of Touhy, NE, entered into eternal rest on September 23, 2016 at Saunders Medical Center in Wahoo.  She was born April 20, 1928 in rural Agnew, NE to Charles and Rose (Hajek) Benes.  Stella graduated from Raymond High School and received a teaching certificate from UNL.  On April 8, 1947, she was united in marriage to Raymond Fiedler at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Agnew, NE.

Stella was a farm wife who enjoyed caring for her family.  She was a kind and gentle care giver to her husband, parents, and anyone in need.  Stella was an excellent baker, especially kolaches and strudel.  She was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church and the St. Vitus Altar Society.

She is survived by children: Rosemarie (Alvin) Kloke, Eugene Fiedler, Robert (Carla) Fiedler, Patricia (Terry) Crum, and Rudy (Jackie) Fiedler; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother Richard (Gerry) Benes; sisters Elsie Houdek and Adeline (Ray) Houdek; and sister-in-law Elanor Benes.

She was preceded in death by husband Ray Fiedler; parents Charles and Rose Benes; brothers: Rudy Benes, Stephen Benes, Phillip Benes; and grandson Michael Crum.

    My condolences are to Bob & Carla friends i havent seen for a few years. Can’t help mentioning that, in my view, there are definite facial resembalances between Bob and his mother. As usual am behind in reading the Journal star even though only receive Sunday and Wednesday papers. Saw tonight the obituary of September 25. Hope the two of you are doing well!
