In Care of the Family
Teresa Ann Mather, 58, of Prague, NE, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 surrounded by her husband and children at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE after a 30 year battle with Lupus disease. She was born September 4, 1959 in Fond du Lac, WI to Boyd and Betty (Rucker) Waltermeyer.
Teresa has lived with Lupus since age 30 and has fought the good fight always with a smile on her face. She was quick to keep you straight and just as quick to be a mother to all. She got a last trip to the ocean over the 4th of July week and spent the evening watching the fireworks on the National Mall in Washington D.C., a show that took her breath away. She would never let a child go to bed hungry or unloved and she truly set the bar as a wife and mother.
She is survived by husband, James “Jim” Mather of Prague, NE; sons, Jason (Tammy) Muessel of Prague, NE, James (Heather) Mather of Chesapeake, VA, Andy (Alicia) Mather of Omaha, NE, Nicklas (Stephanie) Mather of Beatrice, NE, Nathan Mather of Prague, NE; daughter, Amy Mather of Carlsbad, CA; grandchildren, Zachary Muessel and Alexandra Muessel of Prague, NE, Christian Mather, James Mather III, Kaydence Holland and Nolan Mather of Chesapeake, VA, Jackson Mather of Beatrice, NE; her dog, Charlie and cat, Sue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Betty Waltermeyer of Clarinda, IA; parents-in-law, Raymond and Nina Mather of Kennard, NE.
So sad to hear this. Teresa had the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known. She truly became a good friend when she worked in Loma and we had many a talk about her life and her family. May she now rest in peace. Prayers to all of her beloved family.
