Wayne A. Walla, 49, of Weston, NE, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in Wahoo, NE.  He was born July 10, 1968 in David City, NE to Dennis and Dorothy (White) Walla.  Wayne attended St. John Elementary School and he graduated from Bishop Neumann High School.  Wayne also attended Metro Community College for auto body.  On August 17, 1996, he was united in marriage to Lisa Hoestje at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo.

Wayne worked for Walmart Tire and Lube Express.  Over the years, he worked for the Village of Weston, Hakel’s, OPPD and Sid Dillions in Fremont.  He was a member of the Weston Town Board and the Weston Vol. Fire and Rescue Dept.

Wayne enjoyed spending time with his three daughters, working on cars, playing cards and board games with family and spending time with friends.  He was always willing to give a hand when needed.  He also enjoyed watching his daughters participate in school events, sports and cheer.

He is survived by significant other, Lisa Walla; children, Shawna Walla, Alyssa Walla and Nicki Walla; brother, Ron (Ilene) Walla; father-in-law, Richard Hoestje; sister-in-law, Brenda (Cory) McIlnay; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Dennis and Dorothy Walla; mother-in-law, Berneice Hoestje.
