Kenneth E. Novak, 58 of Wahoo, NE, died Monday, February 29, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. He was born August 6, 1957 in Wahoo, NE to William and Donna (Carpenter) Novak. Kenny attended Mead Public Schools and he graduated in 1976. On November 27, 1993, he was married to Micki Freeman. Through the years, Kenny worked for Pelster Construction, Foxley Cattle, Zych Drywall, Schuyler Pack, and he spent 18 years working for Double D Farms until he was badly injured and became disabled. He was a member of the Mead Volunteer Fire Department and the Wahoo Eagles Club.

Kenny loved his family, adored his wife, cherished his friends, and he loved to fish. Until his body gave out, Kenny was extremely active. He was a jack of all trades and master of many. Kenny could figure out how to get things done. His mind never gave out, he was always thinking and he was very particular about the way things were done. He loved to cook and he was very good at it. He also liked to visit with people, he had a huge heart, he would help anyone and if you met him once he might not remember your name, but he would remember you.

He is survived by wife of 23 years Micki Novak; children: John (Jodie) Limbach of Yutan, Paul (Nikki) Spence of Guthrie, OK, Joe (Peggy) Spence of Arlington, Ronnie Novak of Wahoo, Richard (Amy) Novak of Ceresco, Michelle (James) O’Brien of Yutan, and Sherri (Aaron) Seamann of Mead; grandchildren: Nile Limbach, Skyler Limbach, Ryder Spence, Kallan Spence, Isaac Lackey, Paul Spence, Alli Spence, Alina Novak, Teijen Novak, Kashdyn Novak, Remington Novak, Lily Gorum, David O’Brien, Addison O’Brien, Jersey O’Brien, Hailey Bassett, Alexis Bassett, and Braeton Seamann; parents William and Donna Novak of Wahoo; brothers: Mike (Sandy) Miller, Doug (Louise) Novak, and Les (Jenny) Novak; sisters: Judy (Gary) Abbott and Anjie (Mo Machacek) Novak; mother-in-law and father-in-law Dale and Connie Freeman; brother-in-law Dan (Sheri) Freeman; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: Earl and Peg Carpenter, Rudolph and Frances Novak; sisters-in-law: Pam Miller, Ruth “Sissy” Novak, and Deb Ruzicka.

Pastor Kyle McClellan will be officiating the service.
Pallbearers are John Limbach, Paul Spence, Joe Spence, Ronnie Novak, Richard Novak, James O’Brien, and Aaron Seamann.
Honorary pallbearers are Mike Miller, Doug Novak, Les Novak, Steve Machacek, Gary Abbott, William “Digger” Novak, Gilbert Ludacka, Ron Raver, Dick Pelster, Dale Meese, and Mike Coyle.
