Roland E. Pospisil, “Herbie” 78 of Weston, NE entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 24, 2017 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE.  He was born September 13, 1938 in Wahoo, NE to Emil and Lydia (Jambor) Pospisil. Roland grew up on a farm near Malmo, NE, attended grade school there then later graduated from Malmo High School in 1956.  He was united in marriage to JoAnn Volin on June 3, 1961 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Plasi, NE. After their marriage, Roland and JoAnn moved to a farm near Weston, NE and raised their family. Roland was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed fishing, gardening and horse racing.  He was a loving husband, proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather and loved to attend his grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.

Roland had a very strong faith.  He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, St. John Nepomucene Men’s Club and Bishop Neumann Booster Club.

Roland is survived by his wife, JoAnn Pospisil, children, Vicki (Michael) Murren of Colon, Larry (Peggy) Pospisil of Malmo, Lori (Gregg) Reeves of Weston, Kari (Charles, Jr.) Lacey of Weston; grandchildren, Matthew, Taylor, Mattie and Sadie Murren, Kristen (Zach) Miller, Eric (Amy) Pospisil, Abby (Tobin) Spangler, Bret (Laural) Pospisil, Taylen Pospisil, Melissa (Nathan) Cernik, Mitchel Reeves, Ryan (Tali) Reeves, Sara (Joe) Partington, Katelyn and Hallie Reeves, Brendan, Blake, Ella, Logan and Emma Lacey; great-grandchildren, Jarred, Graycen, Jakob, Jase and Kaylee Cernik, Mya Partington, Izabella, Kashton and Breckin Miller, Shay and Cambree Pospisil, Paxton and Emmett Spangler; sisters, Dolores Maly of Weston, Bernice Roberson of Salt Lake City, UT.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Lydia Pospisil; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and John Steinbach; brother-in-law, Lumir Maly; mother and father-in-law, Fred and Grayce Volin; brother-in-law, Jimmy Volin.
