In Care of the Family

Louis L. Storey, 92, of Ithaca, NE, entered into rest on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Community Pride Care Center in Battle Creek, NE.  He was born March 16, 1927 in Floodwood, MN to Wilbert and Delana (Merrier) Storey.  Louis served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII until he was honorably discharged.  Louis was married to Dixie (Stott) Storey for 21 years until she passed away.  On November 13, 1993, he was married to Gladys Bartlet.

Louis worked as a dairyman for over 30 years and he worked for Homestead Home Care for 10 years.  He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Mead, NE.  Louis’ favorite hobby was taking time to go fishing.

He is survived by his son, Walter Storey; step-daughter, Sandra Reilly; sister, Georgine Peterson; many grandchildren, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Dixie Storey and Gladys Storey; step-son, Robert McGeorge.

    I was Louis ‘s cousin Dick, my Dad was Jess Story, we kept the name without adding “e”, my Dad was youngest, Wilbert was the oldest. I always liked Louie, I didn’t realize he had a son, it was in Duluth paper the day of funeral. He stopped at my house with another of our cousin, Alvin years ago must be 15 or more. Was really a kind guy. Should you ever get to Duluth, please let me know, would love to meet you. Our address is 2378 Smith River, Duluth.
