  10. Mark and Lori, We are so sorry that Lauren’s battle came to an end this way, but we know that you all trust in Gods plan and know that “His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts.” As the days and years unfold, we hope you are all comforted by knowing that if you watch for it, He will reveal to you why He took her from us so soon. We are praying for each and every one of you, that He will pour out His peace and love, and give you glimpses of Lauren every day. We know she impacted far more people in her not quite 27 years than most people do in 90. Thank you for being amazing parents, and for raising these incredible kids! They are all changing the world in their own way. Love, hugs and prayers dear friends. We can’t wait to hug you! See you all as soon as we’re allowed!

We were blessed to meet Lauren at Swimtastic when she was managing the location in Southwest Omaha. She was always such a happy and bright person when welcoming us through the doors. She went above and beyond by getting to know us personally and all of the other families as well while interacting with her weekly. One of the last times I spoke with her was about myself taking swimming lessons as an adult. She was so encouraging even with the fear I told her I had. I had planned on seeing if she would be able to teach me, as I felt so comfortable with her. The world lost an amazing person but she will forever be remembered. I’m so sorry for the loss that her family and friends are dealing with at this time. You’re all in my thoughts and prayers.

Deepest sympathies to Lauren’s family and friends. Our niece and Lauren taught together in Lincoln where they became friends. I came to know her story when Stephany came to me when Lauren got diagnosed. Since I am a cancer survivor she thought I might help by adding Lauren to our prayer chain. I’m sure she was welcomed with open arms by her heavenly father. I hope He will give you peace and your friends and family comfort you in this difficult time.
    God Bless you all
