Edwin H. Kudlacek, 93, of Valparaiso, NE, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Brookside Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, NE. He was born December 7, 1927 in Brainard, NE to Edward and Stella (Ratkovec) Kudlacek. Edwin graduated from Brainard High School in 1945. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force until he was honorably discharged in 1949. On December 29, 1950, he was united in marriage to Darlene Soukup at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard, NE. Edwin was a lifelong farmer in the Valparaiso area.
Edwin was a member of Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso, NE, Knights of Columbus #8625, American Legion #371 and Saunders County Livestock Association. He enjoyed polka music and bowling.
He is survived by wife of 70 years, Darlene Kudlacek; children, Denise (Norman) Bruner and Terry Kudlacek; grandchildren, Nolan Bruner, Arin (Mary) Kudlacek, Sara Kudlacek and Holly Kudlacek; great-grandchildren, Vincent Kudlacek, Thomas Kudlacek and Charlotte Kudlacek; brother, Gerald (Mary Ann) Kudlacek; sister, Clarice (Joseph) Sladky; many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by son, Edwin Allen Kudlacek; parents, Edward and Stella Kudlacek; brother, Richard Kudlacek; sisters, Henrietta Bartek and Josephine McGurk.
