Bernard “Butch” K. Croghan, 90, of Wahoo, NE, entered into rest on Friday, December 23, 2022 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE. He was born December 31, 1931 in Sheldon, IA to Benjamin and Helen (Smead) Croghan. Butch served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On June 7, 1958, Butch was married to Ida May “Dolly” Croghan in Los Angeles, CA. Butch retired from Western Electric and many years of employment.
Butch enjoyed painting, repairing cars, carpentry, fishing, hunting, metal detecting, photography, videography, The Casino, traveling and gardening.
He is survived by children, James, Jennifer, Margie, Meredith and Brenda; grandchildren, Michelle, Mindy, Keith, Kyle, Chad, Jamie, Jeremiah, Audrey, Jason, Beth, Jenny, Ashley and Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Malese, Kennedy, Lainey, Drake, Amber, Gillian, Michael, Antonio, Daviona, Aaliyah, Journee, Dwayne, Christian, Cameron and Daphne; brother, Benny; sister, Karen Smith; many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida May “Dolly”; daughters, Patty and Connie; son, Pete; granddaughter, Marlo; brothers, Bobby, Billy and Dick; sister, Helen Mathis.
Dad, you were certainly one of a kind man. I’ve always said not only do they not make them like you anymore but not too many of you were made in the first place. Ill always remember all your patience and kindness. Will always remember all the projects we did together and of course all I learned from you. Thank you. Ill miss ya Dad All my love, Jennifer
