John Wayne Vanek, 57 of Fremont, NE entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Methodist Fremont Health in Fremont. He was born September 30, 1965 in Wahoo, NE to John Jr. and Deloris (Sisel) Vanek. John Wayne graduated from Bishop Neumann High School and attended Metro Community College in Omaha. He worked many jobs throughout his years. His last job was working as a clerk at Goodwill in Fremont.
John Wayne was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont, 4th Degree Assembly, Knights of Columbus Council #1497 and Sons of the American Legion in Fremont where he served as the Chaplain.
John Wayne is survived by his many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Jr. and Deloris Vanek; twin sisters, Margaret Mary and Mildred Sue; sister, Toni Marie.
