Mark Allen Aken, 67, of Omaha, NE, entered into rest on March 27, 2023 in Omaha, NE. He was born February 17, 1956 in Omaha, NE to Orville Edward and Edith Maline (Ash) Aken.
Mark had a big family, being one of 11 children. Mark was a mechanic since he was young, and he was known to be able to fix anything. Mark continued doing mechanical work in his adult years, working at Beardmore Chevrolet in Blair, NE. Mark was an over-the-road truck driver and enjoyed the Lanoha Nurseries in Omaha, NE. Mark also had many hobbies, to include building models, hanging out at the library in Wahoo, NE where he made friends with the librarians, attending the First Presbyterian Church in Wahoo, NE, and spending time with his 11-year-old dog Buff, who he called his son. Mark was described as happy-go-lucky, flirty, and good hearted. Mark would give someone the shirt off his back and loved to make people laugh, as he wanted everyone to be happy.
Survived by his son Phillip (Amy) Aken; daughter, Pamela Aken; sisters, Alice (Richard) Pritzl and Sally (John) Lenke; 5 grandchildren; his 11-year-old dog Buff; best friends Bill and Doug; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Edith Aken, and 8 brothers and sisters.

So sorry to see Mark’s passing, when he lived in Wahoo he was at our library checking out movies every day! Such a nice man.
