Bernadette “Bernie” (Janak) Frohner, 75, Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 12, 2024 in Weston, NE. She was born November 24, 1948 in David City, NE to Ernest R. and Olga M. (Svoboda) Janak. She attended and graduated from Aquinas High School, David City, NE in 1967. Bernie was Capped on January 15, 1971, at the School of Practical Nursing, Lincoln Technical College, in Lincoln, NE.
On September 14, 1974, she was married to William (Bill) E. Frohner at St. Francis Center near David City. Bernadette enjoyed her years of working as a nurse in the Emergency Rooms of St. Elizabeth Hospital and Lincoln General Hospital both in Lincoln, NE. In 1982, she was instrumental in helping Bill open Frohner Auto in Wahoo and took over the Office work and keeping Bill in line. They sold the business in 1989. Then Bill started Main Street Auction where Bernie continued to keep him in line with the office and paperwork. Bernie enjoyed her farm with all her different animals and her five children and all their friends running around. Bernie and Bill never slowed down, they were always going somewhere together, dancing, to a dirt track to watch racing, just out for a drive, and enjoying being Grandparents. Bernie enjoyed her time with all her grandchildren after Bill’s passing and being their Baba.
She is survived by children, Brian (Tina) Frohner of Lincoln, Beth Williamsen of Weston, Bret (Ellie) Frohner of Lincoln and Brent (Jacklyn) Frohner of Lincoln; son-in-law; David Bitenieks of Lincoln; grandchildren, Chelsea (Spencer) Hunt of Omaha, Emily Williamsen of Weston, Julia Frohner of Lincoln, Isabelle Frohner of Lincoln, Ava Frohner of Lincoln, Sophia Frohner of Lincoln, Aviana Frohner of Lincoln, and baby boy Frohner, on the way; sisters, Loretta (DeRoyce) Jelinek of Seward, Rosemary Hladky of Stuart, and Phyllis (Dave) Karpisek, of Surprise; sisters-in-law, Tammy Pence of Dwight, and Lori Janak of David City; brother, John (Kathleen) Frohner of Lincoln; many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Frohner; son, Brad R. Frohner; grandson, Christopher B. Schultz; parents, Ernest and Olga Janak; parents-in-law, William and Emily Frohner; brothers, Marion and Larry Janak; brothers-in-law, Robert Frohner and John Hladky.
Beth, I am so sorry to hear the news of the passing of your mother. Praying for peace for you and your family during this time.
