Alice Agnes Virgl, 90, of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Saunders Medical Center LTC in Wahoo, NE. She was born July 18, 1933 in Howells, NE to James and Tillie (Semerad) Dostal. Alice attended District #37 country school and she graduated from Howells High School in 1950. On February 6, 1954, Alice was united in marriage to Donald Virgl at Tabor Church in Howells, NE. Alice and her husband owned and operated Wahoo Implement Co. in Wahoo, NE for many years.
Alice was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, St. Ludmilla Guild, the Weston American Legion Post #308 Auxiliary, Nebraska State Fair Board Foundation, Camp Creek Lifetime member, Gallivanting Grannies, Rural Bells Extension Club, Saunders Medical Center Auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters. Some of her hobbies included: sewing, crocheting, gardening, traveling, cooking and baking.
She is survived by sons, John (Darlene) Virgl of Wahoo, NE, Paul (Dotty) Virgl of Weston, NE, Thomas (Jill) Virgl of Redmond, WA, James (Deborah) Virgl of Yutan, NE and Dean (friend, Deb) of Wahoo, NE; grandchildren, Elizabeth Virgl, Rebecca Virgl, Laura Virgl, Michael (Marissa) Virgl, Justin (Kenna) Virgl, Jason Virgl, Alicia (Brandon) Mizner, Brett (Devin) Virgl, Jacob (Samantha) Virgl, Courtney (TJ) Thompson and Bethany Virgl; great-grandchildren, Atticus, Austyn, Madison, Mason, Saylor and Charley; siblings, Betty Kubat, Ronald (Barbara) Dostal and Bonita Hubers; many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Virgl; parents, James and Tillie Dostal; siblings, Las Kennebeck, Marlene Marshall and James “Gene” Dostal.
So sorry to hear of the passing of your beautiful mom. She was such a sweet lady and a joy to be around. She is with Jesus now and getting hugs from all her loved ones.
