Nadine K. Miners, 93 of Wahoo, NE, entered into rest on Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Wahoo, NE.  She was born November 26, 1920 in Omaha, NE to George and Libby (Novak) Smersh.  At 4 ½ years of age, her family moved to Wahoo where she resided the rest of her life.  She attended Wahoo High School graduating in 1938.  On February 4, 1942, Nadine was united in marriage to George Miners in Wahoo and they were blessed with two children:  William and Nancy.

Nadine worked as a waitress at various cafés in the area.  She worked at O’Neill’s Café, Gus Fosberg’s, Bessie Martinson’s, K & R in Lincoln, Malcolm Anderson’s, Ralph Bentz, City Café, and Fairview Café.  She worked at Fairview for 29 years, 20 years for Dale Stuart.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Wahoo for over 50 years, where she was a Sunday school teacher and church worker.  She made rag rugs, loved classic mystery shows, and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

She is survived by daughter, Nancy Miners of Wahoo and many nieces and one nephew.

Preceded in death by her husband, George Miners; parents, George and Libby Smersh; son, William Miners; brothers, Layton, Howard, and Randy Smersh.

Rev. Dr. John J. Duling will be officiating.
