Birdie F. Coutts, 81 of Wahoo, NE passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.  She was born July 20, 1942 in Sioux City, IA to Paul and Alberta (Ebel) Obermeyer.  Birdie was united in marriage on December 4, 1964 in Sioux City, IA to Gary Coutts.  From this union five children were born, Kimberly, Dana, Todd, Paige, and Tracy.

Birdie worked at South Haven Living Center as an activities assistant before retiring in 2007.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, and up selling her crafts.  She especially loved spending time with her family.  She volunteered her time at the Wahoo thrift store and the SPCA.  She was always willing to help anyone in need.

Birdie is survived by her children, Kimberly (Joe DaMoude) Wragge, Todd (Kelly) Coutts, Paige (Don) Pilage, Tracy (Major Retired Robbie) Stohler; daughter-in-law, Cheri Coutts; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Carol Hendrix; sister-in-law, Carol Obermeyer; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Alberta Obermeyer; husband, Gary Coutts; son, Dana Coutts; sisters, Bonnie Hansel; brothers, Ron Obermeyer, Rene (Phyllis) Obermeyer.
