Darlene “Dolly” Kavan, 76 of Wahoo, NE passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at her home.  She was born August 25, 1947 in Prague, NE to Rudy and Lydia (Semrad) Chadek.  She graduated from Prague High School in 1965 and attended Cornhusker Beauty School in Fremont, NE.  She was united in marriage to Louis “Butch” Kavan on November 9, 1968.  She and her husband lived in Mead, NE before moving to the farm near Prague.  Dolly ran a Beauty Salon in her home and then moved her business to Prague.  She also cleaned businesses in Wahoo for 20 years before leaving the farm and moving to Wahoo in 2016.

She was a talented artist and a collector.  She loved garage sales and taking videos of her proud and loving family.

Dolly is survived by her children, Troy Kavan of Malmo, Traci (Eric) Hummel of Wahoo, Tara (Ron) Cooney of Wahoo; grandchildren, Nicollette (Devin) Love, Dylan Prohaska, Tyler Kavan, Justin (Tarrah) Prohaska, Holly (Garret) Ruge, Tabitha Cooney, Gage Cooney; great-grandchildren, Aubree Love, Emma Love, Brynlee Ruge, Rowyn Ruge, Ryder Ruge, Liam Love, Eastyn Ruge; sister-in-law, Dolores Chadek.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis “Butch” Kavan; parents, Rudy and Lydia Chadek; brother, Ronald Chadek.
