Darlene Faye Needham, 90 of Malmo, NE, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo. She was born November 18, 1926 on a farm near Malmo, NE to parents Arthur and Nina (Hanson) Barry. She graduated from Wahoo High School in 1944 and then received a degree from Lincoln School of Commerce in Lincoln, NE. In 1945, Darlene married LaVern Needham. Darlene owned and operated Insre Insurance in Wahoo for over 30 years. She was a member of the Malmo American Legion #232 Auxiliary for many years.
Darlene enjoyed the outdoors, music, animals, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by daughter Kathy Teterus and significant other Paul Mosier; son Dale Needham and significant other Karla Gray; son-in-law Ralph Peterson; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Nina Barry; son Dean Needham; and daughter Judy Peterson.
Dale and Kathy wish to extend gratitude to South Haven for the caring support in their mother’s final days.
Dale and Kathy you have my deepest sympathy. Your mother was a lovely lady and such and asset to the Saunders County community for many years. She will be greatly missed.
