Diane M. Shada, 74 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.  She was born June 18, 1949 in Columbus, NE to Alex and Monica (Dohmen) Mimick.  She attended St. Bonaventure Elementary School and graduated from Columbus Scotus High School.  She worked at Jack & Jill grocery store while living in Columbus.  On December 27, 1980 she was united in marriage to Randy Shada and moved to Wahoo.  Together they had four children, Marla, Alex, Michael and Rachael.

Diane owned an in-home daycare for 14 years in Wahoo, then she worked at District 23 Country School until it closed.  She also worked at Cedar Bluffs school as a para for several years.

Diane was a member of Notre Dame Sisters and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, where she enjoyed teaching CCD, Teammates, and bible study.  Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them in all their activities.

Diane is survived by her husband, Randy Shada; children, Marla (Keith) Milliken, Alex (Megan) Shada; Rachael Shada; grandchildren, Nick (Amber) Milliken, Greg Milliken, Shelby Milliken, Treyvon Milliken, Josyah Shada, Eli, Alivia & Grant Shada, Malia, Kyran & Cora Shada; great-grandchildren, Aubree, Brody, Sophie & Yogi Milliken, Ava, Payton & Layla Milliken; siblings, Bill Mimick, Patty (Steve) Hopwood, Mary Foreman, Ron (Cathie) Mimick, Connie Mimick, Bonnie Mimick, Tammy (Scott) Millard, Sharon (Randy) Heibel; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Shada; parents, Alex and Monica Mimick; brother, Donnie Mimick; brother-in-law, Bruce Foreman.
