Donna Jean Wade, 95, of Lincoln, NE passed away February 19^th, 2024, peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family.

Donna was born in Pender, NE to Herbert and Grace (Frey) Suhr and raised on a family farm. During her childhood, Donna went to elementary school in a one-room-school house outside of Pender, and later graduated high school there.

After graduating, Donna began her love of traveling including moving to California for a short time. Later, she came back to Omaha, NE where she met and married Lewis (Lew) Hugh Wade of Wood River, NE in 1955. The couple spent most of their married life in Grand Island, NE where they had three daughters.

In 1988, Donna retired and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included continued traveling (Hawaii, Alaska, Japan), league bowling, reading, and becoming a counted cross stitch artisan.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brother (Dale, 1935), husband (Lew, 1989); and son-in-law (Nick Noel, 2014).

She is survived by her three daughters, Cindy Noel; Terri (Kerry) McDermott; and Debbie (Tracy) Murphy; grandchildren, Matthew (Lesley) Murphy; Nicholas (Michaela) Noel; Eric (Mary) Noel; and Jonathan (Andrew) Niederhauser; great-grandchildren, Manning Murphy; Mackenzie Murphy.
