Dorothy R. Vitek, 83 of Wahoo, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Saunders Medical Center in Wahoo.  Dorothy was born March 30, 1930 in Butler County, NE to William and Emma (Pokorny) Pernicek.  She lived in Loma, NE during her school years and attended grade school and high school in David City, NE.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Edmund J. Vitek on January 9, 1951 at St. Luke Catholic Church in Loma, NE.  In addition to caring for her family, Dorothy worked for several years as a housekeeper for the Saunders County Hospital in Wahoo.  She was a member at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.  Dorothy loved working with her hands, whether it was making crafts or working in the garden.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund J. Vitek and brothers, Bill Pernicek and Louie Pernicek.

She is survived by son, Ed R. Vitek of Ceresco; daughter and companion, Linda Mueller and Mike Dreith; grandchildren, Jason Mueller, Jeremy Mueller, and Kaitlyn Vitek; one great-grandson; one niece and several nephews.

Rev. Charles Townsend will be officiating.

Pallbearers are Bob Schense Jr., Don Schense, Jeff Schense, Ken Pernicek, Dan Pernicek, Irvin Pernicek, Jason Mueller, Jeremiah Mueller, Darrell Pernicek, Wayne Pernicek, and Al Pernicek.
