Duane Kantor, 85 of Wahoo, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home in Wahoo.  Duane was born November 10, 1927 in Wahoo, NE to John and Agnes (Sedlacek) Kantor.  He was raised on the family farm outside of Wahoo and he graduated from Wahoo High School in 1945.  After high school, Duane attended the University of Nebraska where he received his Master’s Degree in Agronomy.  Duane proudly served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, during the Korean War.  On October 22, 1960, Duane was united in marriage to Wilma Elbracht in Lincoln.  He had a 34 year career with the University of Nebraska extension as an Agronomist.  Duane was a member of the Alpha Zeta Honor Society at UNL, American Legion Post#82, and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.

Duane is survived by wife, Wilma; daughter, Jo Marie Kantor; son, David (Jill) Kantor; grandchildren, John and Ava Kantor; brother, Milvoy Kantor.
