Elizabeth “Betty” L. Iwan, 58 of Omaha, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE.  Betty was born on August 24, 1954 in Columbus, NE to Raymond and Christine (Koziol) Iwan.  She attended Holy Ghost Catholic School and graduated from Bryan High School in 1972.  After a 24 year career at Bell  Telephone, Betty worked 8 years for the U.S. Postal Service.  She  worked for Denver Plastics and for the past 5 years she has been  employed with Valmont as a welder.

Betty was a generous and loving person who was very handy and could fix anything.  She was a talented artist/crafter and she had a passion for cars.  She loved cats, John Wayne, and the Minnesota Vikings.  She enjoyed playing cards and she never missed family gatherings.  She was known for being a little ornery and she will be dearly missed by her family.

Betty is survived by children, Niki Iwan and C.J. Revord of Omaha; grandchildren, Kierstyn and Kayden Revord; mother, Christine Iwan of Omaha; brothers and sisters, Marcia (Larry) Dredla of Omaha, Jane (Kevin) Wells of Omaha, Annette (Joe) Caniglia of Colon, Raymond (Rebecka) Iwan of Fremont, Rose (D.J.) Barcal of La Vista; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by father, Raymond J. Iwan; infant brother, James Iwan; nephew, Jeffrey Iwan; cats, Cuddles, Tigger, and Jinx
