Emil Snitily, 88 of Prague, NE, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 16, 2015 in David City, NE. He was born February 17, 1927 in Prague to Joseph and Mary (Fujan) Snitily. On May 3, 1949, he was united in marriage to Irene Ostry at St. John Catholic Church in Prague. Through the years, Emil worked for Campbell’s Soup Company, Lonnie’s Trailer Court, and Blevins Popcorn Plant. Emil also farmed for most of his life.
Emil was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague. He always enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s school and sporting events. In his early retirement years, Emil enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by children, Larry (Susie) Snitily of Prague, Carol (Steve) Brabec of Colon, Ron (Cathy) Snitily of Prague, Dan (Sheila) Snitily of Abie, Karen (Chris) Zetocha of Weston, and Arlene (Steve) Ourada of Prague; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard (Loretta) Snitily of Prague; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; parents, Joseph and Mary Snitily; brothers, Joe Snitily, Anton Snitily, and Charlie Snitily; sisters, Marie Polak, Rose Machacek, and Martha Snitily.
