Eugene E. Slegl, 86, of Bruno, NE, died Friday, May 18, 2018 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.  He was born October 30, 1931 in rural Prague, NE to Edward J. and Bessie (Krivanek) Slegl.  Eugene graduated from David City High School in 1949.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Eugene was a lifelong farmer in western Saunders County.  He enjoyed gardening, tending to his flowers and watching wildlife around his home.

He is survived by brother, Ron (Margie) Slegl of Lenexa, KS; nieces, Brenda (Jim) Monaco and Rebecca (Dylan) Murray; special friend, Elaine Millspauth.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Janice.
