Isabelle Rita Tvrdy, 93 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 21, 2014 in Wahoo. She was born February 2, 1921 near Plasi, NE to Joseph and Anna (Carek) Maly. On May 26, 1942, she was united in marriage to Julius J. Tvrdy at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Plasi and then they made their home on the family farm southwest of Wahoo. They moved to Wahoo in 2008.

Isabelle was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Weston where she was active in the PCCW. Currently she was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. One of her favorite hobbies was gardening and watching over her flowers. Most of all she enjoyed the time that she spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by children, Kathy (Jerry) Buresh, Dan (Donna) Tvrdy, Eileen (Don) Babka, Rev. Julius Tvrdy, Ralph (Dana) Tvrdy, Mike (Brenda) Tvrdy, JoAnn (Mike) Hall, Mark (Mary) Tvrdy, Lori (Dave) Pellan; 24 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernadette Woita and Virginia Lanik; many beloved nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Julius J. Tvrdy.

Rev. Julius Tvrdy will be officiating.

    So sorry to hear of your mother’s leaving you in this life. It is always hard to loose a loved one no matter what age they are. Someone once told me that the world is never quite the same when your mother is not here. How true. You have my very deepest sympathy, love and prayers. May God be with you all and comfort you!
