Jill R. Leise, 51 who has entered eternal peace May 28, 2023 once joked “What did the janitor say when he jumped out of the closet?  Supplies!”  This was one of the many jokes she has told family, friends, and even strangers.   Her humor is one of the many things about her that will be missed.

Jill was born November 1, 1971 in Omaha to Robert and Diane (Prucha) Bednar.  Jill attended Waterloo High School where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class.  Following graduation, she started her studies at the University of Nebraska Omaha and then eventually ended up working at 3M.  She later moved to Mead and raised her children, Daniel and Ana there.

Jill was welcomed into eternal rest by Helen Prucha (grandmother), Ruth Bednar (grandmother), Robert Bednar (father), Diane Bednar (mother) and Heidi Bednar (sister).

She is survived by her children, Daniel Leise and Ana Leise (Jacob Felty) her former husband Tim Leise.  Along with them are Jamie Bednar (Tracy), Jody Bednar, Jessica Bednar (Bobbi), Taylor Bednar (Megan), Tanner Bednar (Delaney), Nicholas Bednar, Ashlee Bednar, Joey Bednar, Erin Bednar, Ava Bednar, Lily Bednar, and Clay Bednar.  She also leaves behind Grand-Puppies, Cooper and Scully and a Grand-Cat, Hex.

Jill was known around town for her sense of humor, her camera skills, being an incredibly supportive mom and her love of music.

We are asking that you wear one of your favorite band tees (anything music related or a graphic tee) to the visitation.

Condolences for Jill R. Leise

Jill was such a great person and so fun to be around, she always had a way of brightening the day of everyone around her, and a contagious smile. She was always kind and treated me and everyone I saw her interact with like family even the first time she met them. I pray for her family in this tough time and am glad I got to know her. You will be missed.

Wishing you peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow. Words cannot express how saddened we are to learn of Jill’s passing. Jill was a ray of sunshine. You couldn’t help but feel happy and laugh when you were with her. We will miss her quick wit and sense of humor. She will be missed greatly! We are here for you if you need anything at all. Lots of love, Nancy, Steve, and Autumn Vaccaro

Jill you were one of the best sisters and I am going to miss you every day. I admired what a great mother and friend you were. You were taken from us way too soon and I just don’t understand why. Until we meet again my sister, my friend. I love you with all my heart and will miss you every day.

Jill although we were second cousins we acted like sisters and best friends when we were younger & lived on V street…you weren’t afraid to let me “trim” your hair even though I ended up actually “cutting a lot off”…. You weren’t mad but boy were our parents! You definitely were a major asset to life and the world is going to be so empty without you…I only wished we visited each other more in life! RIP My Dear Cousin

I cannot believe Jill is gone. I loved her sense of humor, and good nature. Earth will be a little bit dimmer without her light, and the stars will shine a little brighter with her asking them. Ana and Daniel, I send you huge hugs, I know she adored you.

Blessings and prayers to the family. Jill, I will miss your quiet strength, your heart of gold and your infectious giggles. Remembering fondly the times at grandmas when we would spy on the boys from grandmas upstairs or when we would go for a drive and jam out leaving the worries of our days in the rear view mirror. Thank you for being an amazing friend, a confidant and for that smile. Heaven has the best of us. Love you.

I worked with Jill at the Valley 3M plant during one of my 3M rotations July 2020-2021. She was the best and her sense of humor is something I hold dear when I think of her too. I remember her having a quote board up by her desk, and I made it a priority to always stop by and see what her new quote was and we would both get a good laugh!! I had a daughter Amelia in Dec 2021 and loved sharing updates with Jill. I will miss her greatly, and my condolences to all of those that loved her.

Jill / our sweet cousin. The BEDNAR brothers (her dad, my dad) lived across the ally from each other. The BEDNAR cousins played in the Rain, Snow, sunshine, (inside and outside). A very sweet way to grow up – I babysat them all (being a few years older). Jill – so smart graduated top of her class – in the last couple years we’d text – congratulations to all posts she praised her two lovely children (well deserved praise too). Jill was the family historian and shared so many finds with me…. We are all so proud of you -sweet cousin – you did good works here… I can’t help but think that you laughing with my dad and our aunties and your dad and mom you missed so much… We are all better because of you…

    My Favorite Memory,
Jill; Bad things happen to those who pick their nose while driving, yep!
Me: they were picking their nose? Or their butt?
Jill: I think they were picking their nose.
    Me:after their butt?
    Weird moment but funny!
That was Jill! Always ready for a good laugh..

I remember my cousin Jill through my Aunt Lolly who boosted about Jill buying her first car a Mustang. When I asked. Did it have a sun roof? My Aunt said Does it matter? We moved to California so I tried to keep in touch with my cousins through relatives. When my Aunt Lolly passed I had written a poem for her. When I learned that Jill too had written a poem I gracefully bowed out and did not read my poem at the funeral. knowing that Jill’s must have been better than mine. Competition among cousins. LOL. Oh my cousin I wish we had known each other more than we did. You are blessed and you are now with our beautiful family. Your Grandmother Ruth Bednar, Our beloved Aunt Lolly, our sweet Aunt Linda and your Uncle, Our Father Larry Bednar. Also your parents, Uncle Bobby and Aunt Dianne. It is funny. Growing up. We were taught to say our prayers and you were always in my prayers. God bless Uncle Bobby, Aunt Dianne and Jamie, Jodi, Jill and Jessica. God Bless the Bednar Family. We are a strong family. We love you Jill and pray for your children and family. God Bless!
