John T. Marshalek, 90 of Raymond, NE, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 11, 2016 at his home in rural Raymond.  He was born November 17, 1925 at the family farm in rural Raymond to John and Helen (Rezac) Marshalek.  John served in the U.S. Army after WWII until he was honorably discharged.  On October 17, 1958, he was united in marriage to Fannie Hodgkins at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lincoln, NE.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong farmer.  He worked at Cushman Motors in Lincoln for 22 years until his retirement.  John was a member of the American Legion #371, VFW #10491, and Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso.

He is survived by children: Tom Marshalek of Ceresco, Glenn Marshalek of Raymond, Gordon (Cindy) Marshalek of Raymond, Suzanne (Matthew) Carter of West Orange, NJ; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters: Pauline Hradsky of Omaha and Helen Ruzicka of Colon.

He was preceded in death by wife Fannie Marshalek; daughter Jane Marshalek; grandson Nicholas Marshalek; brothers: Bill, Jerry, and Henry Marshalek; sisters: Blanche Marshalek and Lillian Luciano.
