Judy Rose Claessens, 67 of Ithaca, NE, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont, NE. Judy was born July 29, 1946 in Wahoo, NE to Walter and Viola (Holloway) Carlstrom. Through the years, Judy worked as a nurse’s aide for several local nursing homes. She enjoyed caring for people, but most of all she enjoyed caring for her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Judy was preceded in death by husband, John Claessens; parents, Walter and Viola Carlstrom; brother, Jim Carlstrom; sister, Joan Wilhelm.
She is survived by children, Randy Rawlin, Walter Rawlin, John Claessens, and Dan Claessens; grandchildren, John H. Claessens IV, Kaylee Claessens, Anthony Rawlin, Shandi Rawlin, William Rawlin, Amelia Claessens; brother, John Carlstrom; many nieces and nephews.

We’re sorry for you loss of your mother. We remember when John and Judy first moved to Ithaca and began buying from us at the Sears Store! They became not only customers, but friends!
