LeRoy Ohnoutka was born to Fred and Anna (Woita) Ohnoutka on November 5, 1927, on the farm where he remained a lifelong resident, until he moved to South Haven in Wahoo in December of 2022. He went to Heaven on February 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

On May 29, 1956, he was united in marriage to Lillian Vyhlidal at Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Cedar Hill-near Morse Bluff.

He was employed at American Stores Packing Company in Lincoln for 26 years. When the company moved their plant, he was briefly employed at ASCS in Wahoo. Following that, he took a job at Cushman Inc. and was employed there for 16 years.

LeRoy was an avid sports fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in their various sports and activities.

Polka music and dancing were also a favorite of his, and he and his wife spent many weekends attending polka dances wherever a band was performing.

He dearly loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending many precious times with them.

He was an Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War.  He was also an American Legion member at Post #308 in Weston for 71 continuous years.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lil; daughter, Colleen Kuska, sons, Kevin (Deb) Ohnoutka,  Brian (Linda) Ohnoutka, and Craig (Barb) Ohnoutka; niece, Gayle (Robert) Nusbaum; grandchildren, Kenny Ohnoutka, Laura (Paul) Ganow, Ashley (Tyson) Carlson, Katie Ohnoutka, Travis Ohnoutka, Brittany Ohnoutka, Rachael (Reese) Graue and Melissa (Chris) Bolek; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Elsie Carlson, Marvin Ganow, Jack, Joe and James Graue and Patrick and Charlotte Bolek; sisters-in-law, Georgia Vyhlidal and Rita Vyhlidal; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cec and Bill Perk and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, son-in-law, Ron Kuska, twin sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Don Huston, brother-in-law, William Vyhlidal, nephew, Donnie Huston, and niece, Connie Dvorak.
