Mike was a long-time friend of the Murray family. Growing up, he was one of the guys I’d see from time-to-time on the weekends, pitching in to help my dad with whatever fix-it or build-it project he had going on at the time. Mike was such a nice guy. Very laid back, funny, and eccentric in a good way. To me and my sister, his black glasses were his trademark. The last time I saw Mike was about two years ago at my grandpa’s 90th birthday party. My dad had to be out of town that day, so I took a few pictures of Mike with my grandpa and sent them to my dad, joking that Mike was filling in as him for the day. I think he even stood in for my dad in the picture with my grandpa and his other six children. It was hilarious. I’ll miss Mike. He was one of the good ones.
