Robert “Bob” Hedges, 59, of Weston, NE, entered into rest on Friday, October 28, 2022 at his home in rural Weston, NE. He was born November 21, 1962 in Lincoln, NE to Adolph and Helen (Jirovsky) Hedges. Bob attended St. John School in Weston and graduated from Bishop Neumann High School in 1981. On August 25, 1990, Bob was married to Jean Cunningham in Weston, NE.
Bob was a lifelong farmer and through the years he also worked for the Schuler Elevator in Weston, Food-4-Less in Omaha as a meatcutter and he operated his own construction company. He served on the Weston Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and vacationing in Mexico.
He is survived by wife of 32 years, Jean Hedges; mother, Helen Hedges of Weston; siblings, Doug (Jodi) Hedges of Wahoo, Rick (Teresa) Virgil of Weston, Joe (Sue) Virgil of Fremont, Roseanne Virgil of Lincoln, Lu (Craig) Vavak of Omaha, Les Virgil of Lincoln, Marie (Paul) Aksmit of Lincoln; mothers-in-law, Sharon Cunningham and Lorri Cunningham; brother-in- law, Steven Cunningham; sister-in-law, Danielle Matz; many loved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Adolph Hedges; brother, Nick Hedges; father-in-law, Jerry Cunningham.
Jean You and Bob have been such wonderful people who have touched our lives. Great memories of our days living in Weston.We send our love,hugs,prayers,and etc.
